TMJ Live

TMJ Live is a music series that features a different band each Episode. Building upon the success of the production style that has become known for, TMJ Live takes the experience to the next level. The first six Episodes of the series focus on the annual music festival, Oak Fest. Held in the south suburbs of Chicago, this Fest features five days of music. Re-live the action on TMJ Live!

Hairbangers Ball has become a household name since its establishment in 2001. As an 80’s hair rock tribute band, their songs are easy to sing along to. They perform at venues from clubs to music festivals across the Midwest. They have become a staple at Oak Fest.
Lala comes from the suburbs of Chicago. She received her first guitar before the age of ten, and hasn't put it down since! In fact, she used her first guitar to perform for her debut on The Musical Junction. A constant learner, she teaches herself covers as well as writes her own music.
Nick Scarpinato grew up in Oak Forest, and attended Bremen High School in Midlothian, Illinois. He writes his own music and performed as part of several bands, including The Swindlers. He studied music at Millikin University in Decatur.
And Beyond is composed of musicians that bring years of experience to the stage. Their library of music spans over five decades. From the favorite "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey, to the crowd-interactive "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond, the band pleases fans of every age. The members of And Beyond have performed with other bands, and are no strangers to playing all types of venues.
Harper's Grove is a Chicago area band that performs rock music. Formerly The Suspicious Gentlemen, the trio has come a long way in a short time. Now performing a wide array of originals, the band travels all over the Chicago Southland. In the past year, the group picked up a keyboardist, Andy. Also known as Drew Bear, he's no stranger to the music scene and has even performed as a solo act at AC Variety's 'Open Mic'.
Sugar Rush is an all girl pop band from Orland Park, Illinois. The members met through a music school, where they honed their skills. Payton and Jamie are original members of the band, and have built a stronger friendship throughout the years. Band influences include Taylor Swift, Paramore, and The Beatles. Sugar Rush also performs original music. The band has performed at multiple AC Variety 'Open Mic' events.
CoverGürl is described as a high powered party rock band. Composed of four members, what makes this band unique is a female lead singer. The group performs music not just from the 90’s, but digs out classics as well. From the crowd engaging performance of “I Want You to Want Me,” to the fast-paced “Crazy Train,” one thing is certain... You will always be moving at this show.
Infinity is a band that spans all generations of music listeners. Touring across the Midwest, the group has grown a following like few others. Started in the mid 1980's as a Journey tribute band, the group has grown to include a wide range of music in their set list. From the jumping sounds of the guitars in "My Own Worst Enemy," to the dark beat of the drums on "Enter Sandman," the group offers something for every age.
3rd Degree is a musical group composed of passionate musicians that love to take the stage. Led by Todd Beebe, the band performs a wide rage of music starting with the present, and going back to the 50’s. In addition to performing familiar favorites, the band also does the deep cuts and originals. 3rd Degree has played at various gigs throughout the United States, ranging from clubs to festivals.
